DONATIONS TO THE FAMILY CENTRE - we are currently at capacity for receiving donations. Please only bring donations to our Swap Shop 19th May 12-2
There are many ways to make a donation - either directly or through our linked organisations. See how you could make a difference - in some cases without spending a penny!
You can make a one off donation or set up a monthly direct debit to donate to our charity using JustGiving
If you shop on Amazon you can add an item to our wish list to your order and it will be delivered to us directly.
Our wish list if full of items we use to run sessions such as cleaning products, craft supplies, replacement toys and lots more.
Items vary from a couple of pounds upward in price and all items are much needed.
We’re using EasyFundraising to help raise money for our charity. To get involved, sign up and shop via the easyfundraising website or App with over 8,000 retailers. You’ll raise free donations for us as you shop online at no extra cost! All the big names including eBay, Tesco, John Lewis & Partners, TUI, and many more will donate. We’ll be so grateful for your donations!
If you are visiting the Family Centre you'll see our Wish Tree full of leaves. Each leaf has an item that we always need to make our keep our sessions running smoothly.
If you are able to and would like to pick a leaf, pop it in your purse or wallet and pick up the item next time you are shopping to bring in during your next visit we would be so grateful!
Items on the tree include biscuits, snacks, dishwasher salt/ tablets, long life milk, antibac spray/ wipes, craft items.
We have a clothes recycling bin at the front of the Family Centre where you can put any unwanted clothes, shoes and accessories.
The bin is accessible to the whole community, please make sure whatever is put in the bin is in a sealed bag.
If the bin is full, please do not leave items outside the bin.
Access to the bin is either via the driveway on Wilding Road or down the footpath on Wigod Way.
We receive a cash donation from the recycling company for filling the bin which goes straight back into funding the Family Centre.
Our community exchange is a place where you can drop off non perishable unopened food items, in date canned goods or nappies.
Once a week during term time, usually on a Tuesday, we receive a limited selection of bakery items (mainly bread).
Take what you need, leave something if you can.
We hold a Swap Shop once a month where you can bring up to two bags of good quality clothes, toys or non electrical household items and donate them to the Swap Shop.
You can also take up to two bags of items home from the Swap Shop.
Please note if you are found to be selling items taken from the swap shop you will be banned from future events - if you find you can no longer use items please bring them along to a future event for someone else to enjoy.
Information about upcoming Swap Shops can be found on our Events page.
