As a charity we rely on donations to thrive!
Rock Choir at Dorchester Abbey
Now we’ve finally had time to reflect (and recover!) from our incredible sell out Rock Choir fundraiser at Dorchester Abbey we wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make the evening such a success.
Thank you to Deputy Lord Lieutenant Jane Cranston for joining us, we were honoured by your presence and grateful for your support on such a special evening.
Special thanks to Katharine Keats-Rohan for choosing us as one of her Chair’s Chosen Charities alongside Sue Ryder and for supporting us throughout the organisation of this event and other fundraisers this year.
To our amazing Chair Jen, who first brought the idea to us, helped coordinate the event and even performed with the choir on the night - thank you!
Thank you to Karen for helping coordinate with ourselves and the council, always being there with support, organising the programmes and running the raffle and tombola on the night with her fabulous granddaughter.
A massive thank you to Rock Choir for making it a night to remember and absolutely rocking the Abbey.
Huge appreciation to Krisha for conducting the choir so beautifully, and to her husband for working behind the scenes on lighting and tech to make sure everything looked and sounded amazing.
Thank you to Maff Potts for setting the atmosphere perfectly with his spellbinding piano performance at the start of the evening.
To our incredible volunteers and Family Centre staff - thank you for all the hard work behind the scenes and on the night itself. It took a huge team effort and we’re so proud of what we achieved together.
Thank you to 1155 for lending us walkie talkies which proved absolutely invaluable (and made us all look very official!).
A huge thank you to Gareth Clarke and Stuart Emmerson for donating their time and capturing such incredible photographs from the evening.
Thank you to Jacki Hoskins and Fiona, wonderful compères for keeping the evening flowing so brilliantly, and to Ashni from Sue Ryder for running an information stand on the night.
And finally, thank you to every single person who bought a ticket, donated, entered the raffle or tombola, or visited the bar during the evening. Your support means the world to us.
Because of every one of you, we are incredibly proud to say we raised £3689 which will be split between the Family Centre and Sue Ryder 🎉 These funds will help support the running costs of our centre and ensure we can continue supporting local families in the months ahead.
THANK YOU 💜
