We're here to support children, their parents, families and carers.

The Wigod Way Wallingford Family Centre has been operating as a charity since June 2017. The Wigod Centre is a community run project with the aim to bring together local families with young children age 0-5 years, professionals and the wider community with the mutual aim of supporting young children and new parents to achieve their potential, regardless of background.

Outdoor Explorers - Toddler Group

Tuesday @ 10am

A toddler group inspired by the outdoors.  There will be nature based craft activity and large garden area you are welcome to explore. Parents and Carers can enjoy a warm beverage, chat and enjoy watching your little people learn, grow and explore.

Baby Babble and Bumps & Babies

Wednesday @ 10.00am -11.00am or 11.30am - 12.30pm

Health Visitor often drops into Baby Babble to answer any questions.

 

Bring your bundle for some bonding and meet other local families. An easy going group run by the lovely Lizzie. A chat, a cuppa and giggle. That is all!

Tots Time - Family Group

Thursday @ 10am

This session is all about play! Complete access to hall full of toy and lovely garden with so much to do!

Fridays 10am-11am

£4.20 per Session

No previous experience required & pre-crawling babies welcome. We encourage you to bring along any toys or blankets that will make your baby feel comfortable. 

 

This will be a very relaxed class, so you can feed baby whenever you need & do what you need to keep them happy. 

 

We will provide all the equipment needed, so there’s no need to try and squeeze a yoga mat under the pushchair.

 

It’s recommended to wait until you are around 6 weeks postpartum after a vaginal birth, or 8 weeks after a caesarean before attending this class.

Saturday - Once a Month

A stay & play session for families with children with additional needs.

Suitable for children primary school age & below.

Home: What We Do

Events & Courses

Family First Aid

Join us for a fun, informal and informative session to help prepare you to deal with medical concerns and emergencies in the home.

Will be covering:

  • Management of an unconscious child/infant

  • CPR

  • Choking

  • Common childhood illnesses

  • Head Injuries

  • Fractures/ Breaks

  • Burns/ Scalds

If you are unable to secure childcare we invite you bring your littles people along. Please only book a space for yourself either way, you do not need to book a space for your child.

£3.72 inc. booking fee

Book Your Course - Emergency First Aid at Work 6 Hour Level 3 (VTQ) - EFAW

Certified training is taking place on 15th May 2023

and costs £100.

We need your help; if you can spare as little as an hour a week, you could help parents not just survive but thrive.

As a small community lead charity, we can only survive due to the kindness and dedication of our volunteers

If you have some time you could offer please get in touch, whether it be supporting in sessions, helping distribute donations, maintenance, gardening, admin or fundraising. 

As a volunteer, you will make a real difference to families in your community.
